Wedding invitations – checklist for you

How to properly create an invitation card? When should they be sent? Which important points should definitely be included? Which format to choose for the wedding invitations? When should invitations be sent to guests?

Even if you want to send out invitations immediately after the engagement, it’s best not to! It is risky to send invitations without consulting the venue. If something goes wrong and you need to change the venue or date, you can confuse guests.

Once you’ve booked the venue, you can send out the invitations with confidence. The sooner the better! This way, guests have enough time to make plans, send a reply, choose a gift, and choose evening wear.

Set a deadline for the reply

Set an appointment about 1 month before the wedding if you plan your wedding in advance.

The entire feast depends on the number of guests: banquet menu, entertainment, wedding format, seating arrangement.

We also recommend confirming the exact presence of guests after some time in order to change the banquet menu in time.

We have the option to change the number of servings a week before the feast (check “one week”), but this option may not be available to everyone.

What points should the invitation cards contain?

• Place and time – in addition to the exact time and place of the event, be sure to indicate where you expect your guests, if you do not plan to invite all guests to the registry office, but only for celebration. In the invitation you should indicate to which places your guests are invited.
• Weddingschedule – at least a rough schedule for your event. Guests should have an idea of what to expect at your party.
• Rubric “+1” – It is customary to invite friends and their partners to the wedding. Ask your guest if he will come alone or not. This depends on the total number of people. If a person does not let you know what he thinks, this can cause inconvenience.
• Wedding Theme – If you have a specific style and color for your celebration, make sure to state that! The sooner the better! The guest must have time to prepare the appropriate outfit. You don’t want to confine your guests to a narrow framework – “Everyone must wear dresses the color of the sea at sunrise” – you don’t want your wedding to be a headache for those in attendance. However, it is appropriate and polite to ask that specific color details and clothing be used when possible
• if it is important for you to mark the desired gift, you can certainly indicate this in the invitation. In our time, this does not seem embarrassing or inappropriate.

There are many ways to politely ask guests for a gift:

• We don’t want to burden you with finding a gift, so we appreciate your contribution to our family budget.
• If you want to give us a valuable and useful gift, please put it in an envelope.
• We are happy to accept a contribution to our honeymoon budget as a gift.
