Wedding Presenter or Tamada – What’s the Difference?

Few people today imagine a wedding without a wedding host or tamada. Only some believe that there is no difference, while others are convinced that they are fundamentally different concepts. Is that so? Duo Fasol explains the differences.

There is a high probability that you have heard the word “Tamada” many times and you probably have certain associations with it. You and the bridesmaids speak in unison about the need for this person at your wedding. After all, you need someone to steer the celebration in the right direction. Yes, undoubtedly one needs such a service provider.

The word “host” is most commonly associated with television or a large-scale and high-profile event. But it’s about your wedding! Is it an ordinary occasion? But on the contrary! Regarding the importance of this event for the newlyweds, this event undoubtedly ranks first and therefore deserves the highest ranking!

Of course we can say that a wedding presenter and Tamada are one and the same, but is that really the case? Let’s try to find out. The purpose of the article is not to discredit the profession of “tamada” (tamadas are proactively working on it themselves), but simply to find and underline differences.

The wedding moderator for a wedding or free wedding ceremony is a more modern version. He feels the mood of the guests, makes a pleasant impression with his whole appearance, has an original, rather flexible scenario, depending on the preferences of the newlywed. A true presenter will entertain guests with ease without the aid of alcohol.

A tamada clearly cares about the amount of alcohol. His weddings follow the pattern he’s used for dozens of past ones. After all, why reinvent the wheel? Often with poems – long, impersonal and uninteresting. But that’s how it’s always been done. And also with a whole arsenal of vulgar jokes, contests and anecdotes. A Tamada often wears flashy outfits to get the attention of all the guests.

A wedding presenter, on the other hand, is characterized by a beautiful, well-trained voice, eloquence, a non-comedic demeanor, an exceptional sense of humor and a gentle leadership style – without vulgarity, stupidity and indecency. He is respected, he is listened to. He wants to make the wedding different than the others do. So that your guests go home after the party and admit that they have never seen anything like this from any other presenter.

We hope that it has become a bit clearer what the differences between a tamada and a wedding presenter are. The wedding moderator Duo Fasol attaches great importance to the fact that you experience your wedding exactly as you always imagined it! So visit our page to see what your wedding could look like!
