Wedding games and fun tasks for wedding guests is exactly what we specialize in at Fasol. It’s all about creating wonderful and original entertainment at your wedding. At the same time, we definitely don’t want to overload the evening with wedding games. Everything should happen naturally and with ease. In this article we have put together a lot of wedding games that you or your wedding presenter can use at your wedding.

Wedding games and competitions can be divided into table games and movement games (dance, flash mobs, etc.). We tried to put together a selection of various games and contests for a wedding, where you can find both classic options and new, fresh, unknown contests and entertainment for guests. From calm to energetic, you’ll find everything you or your wedding emcee needs for your wedding here.
Everyone probably knows the legendary dance game. But it can also be used at a wedding. It works best in the context of the dance battle (but not exclusively) boys vs. girls. We form two teams. We start with the girls’ team. Different movements appear on the screen and the task is to imitate the moves as identically as possible. Then it’s the boys’ turn with another song and dance. It may be a battle, but remember, it’s a wedding and it’s all about us having fun TOGETHER. Therefore, at the end you could neglect deciding the winner and instead just dance together to one last song and thus open the dance floor.

It is also often called the back-to-back game or the shoe game. Two chairs are placed back to back and the bride and groom sit down so that they cannot see each other. Then shoes are swapped so that everyone is holding one of the groom’s shoes and one of the bride’s. But it works just as well with a rolling pin and a beer bottle, which are used as symbols for the married couple. Or even with signs with the names of the bride and groom. Then you ask them the who questions, which can relate to all aspects of their life together as married couples. Let the marriage test begin. The questions can be any. We have put together a list of our favorite questions to make your work easier.
The bride and groom respond to the questions by holding up the appropriate shoe, rolling pin, beer bottle or sign of themselves or their partner. If they answer straight away, they get a point and, without a doubt, our applause. Unfortunately, if they decide differently, there is no point and the round is lost. This game is best carried out by a professional (e.g. wedding presenter).
The men and the groom sit in a row on chairs. The bride’s eyes are tied. Your task is to find out where her husband is by simply touching the faces of the participating men. The game also works the other way around. The blindfolded groom must try to recognise his bride among the other women. He is only allowed to feel her hands. To avoid any awkward moments, the moderator can hint at the correct answer.
A game that is incredibly well-known and popular in the Western World. Only the closest, only the best, gather at a wedding. And we want to find out how well the bride and groom actually know the guests. The moderator shows the guests different properties – whether on a screen or on a tablet or a DIN A4 piece of paper. If a quality applies to someone, then these guests stand up and the bride and groom then have to guess what connects these guests and what quality we are looking for.
You could end this very nicely with the last feature “Everyone who is hungry!” and with that you open the wedding buffet and announce the appetiser. Bon appetit!

At the same time, you can also twist everything and check how well the guests know the bride and groom. A few pictures are prepared in advance, all of which have something to do with the bride and groom. For example, the number 7 because the groom used to play football under the number 7. A picture of Simba from The Lion King, because that’s what her cat is called, etc. You show the guests one picture after the other and have them try to identify what these pictures might be about.
In this program element, it is important that the maid of honor likes to move and dare to dance and be silly. On the dance floor, the bride sits on a chair with her back to three men, the groom, the witness and another gentleman of her choice. The maid of honor stands in front of the bride and can see all three men very well.
One after the other, the men are allowed to dance briefly to the music being played. The maid of honor has to imitate these movements for the bride, so that the bride can estimate which of the men is now her groom. The moderator always announces whether it is Mr. No. 1, Mr. No. 2 or Mr. No. 3. You are welcome to do a total of three dance rounds with different music. The men change their places and thus the order after each round. Most of the time the bride recognizes her loved one in all three rounds. If this is not the case, you can also give the bride hidden help.
A good game to get to know: The Mountain of Shoes. We ask the women present to take off their right shoe. They then place this in the middle of the dance floor. Now the men choose a shoe and find the woman to whom the shoe fits. A new dancing couple found each other so easily and the celebration continues. The guests can also dance with the bride and groom.

This element is very suitable for smaller weddings up to 50 guests. The moderator hands out A4 sheets of paper and colored pencils and asks the guests to draw associations with the bride and groom. It can be anything, animals, geometric figures, people. These pictures do not need to be signed and will be presented later in the evening (possibly at dinner), commented on by you and the best and most creative picture will be chosen by the bride and groom as the winner. The winner receives a prize from the bride and groom. At this point you can suggest that the bride and groom create a folder for these works of art so that they can look at them again in a few years.
This interactive element is wonderful for keeping guests busy while waiting for the bride and groom, as well as for breaking ice while eating and looking at the pictures with the bride and groom. If you are able to photograph the images and project them onto a wall it is perfect, just keep in mind that the images may be difficult to see if the room is very bright. This element is also suitable for larger weddings, just select specific guests to draw, there should be no more than 15 pictures at the end, otherwise the meeting will be too lengthy.

You can play this game with two or more teams. The DJ plays a song that mentions a specific object or person and the participants have to quickly find that person or object in the room and take a selfie with it. After taking a selfie, they quickly come back to the dance floor (perhaps even to the presenter to show the finished picture). The team that gets there first wins a point. Example, the song “Lady in Red” is played and the participants have to find a woman wearing something red and take a selfie with her. This is how you play with 5-6 songs. Good examples: Men in Black, Hey Mr. DJ, Money Money Money, Mamma Mia, Maria Maria, Sugar and so on. Have fun.
The task is simple. We select a table that will give a speech to the newlyweds. But each participant at this table only has to add one word. We’ll probably do a few rounds until the speech is complete, but we’ll get everyone involved and see what happens.

It’s a fun game for groomsmen that can also be played with the other guests. The moderator invites witnesses to give a congratulatory speech for the bride and groom and during their speech shows absolutely inappropriate words on the cards (DIN A4) or on the screen, which the best man or woman should logically integrate into their speech. If this game is played with witnesses, you can leave it as part of a speech. At the same time, you can also turn it into a competition between two guests, in which a winner is determined at the end depending on the intensity of the applause.
This game becomes even more fun if the presenter takes out different funny things from a bag instead of words on the cards. The speaker can also get these items out of his bag that he needs to include in his speech. You can decide for yourself what will be in this bag.

Everyone knows wedding bingo at a wedding. The bride and groom or groomsmen must find certain items in the hall and bring them to the front. But why should you limit yourself to just objects? This way you can find guests with special characteristics so you can get to know them and introduce them more quickly. Someone who always has a joke ready. Someone who can give a good speech. Someone who can barely tolerate alcohol. Someone who can dance very well, etc.
Here the guests can now let their imagination run wild, as throughout the day we ask them to draw caricatures of the bride and groom. Later, the wedding presenter (or perhaps the groomsmen) will collect all the drawn masterpieces and create a unique album that the newlyweds can keep as a souvenir of the wedding.
We need several participants for the game. Two teams. We show them photos of different stars, but as if they were women. The participants have to guess who it is. You can do the same thing with good friends and relatives.
You can also have something auctioned off at the wedding. This can be a beautiful painting that you create yourself at your wedding. Or even the first piece of the delicious wedding cake. First you cut it for yourself as the bride and groom, try the piece and make sure that the cake is very tasty. You can then cut a piece for the parents and then cut the first piece for the guests. Then suggest that guests buy this delicious piece. You determine the starting price. We at Fasol have sold for over 350 euros several times. The winner is then welcome to take the piece home with them.
You may know this from TV, but you can also use it for a wedding. The goal is to check how well the bride and groom get along. The bride and groom come forward. First, the groom receives a pair of headphones. Different songs are played very loudly there. The groom just has to dance to the songs. It can be a song with a familiar dance or something he doesn’t know at all. Then he just has to improvise. The bride has to try to guess which songs the groom is dancing to. But to make it feasible, we give the bride 3 possible answers. After 5-6 rounds we switch sides and the bride gets the headphones and we continue. You can also play the game with the witnesses, or if we have a battle of friends with two teams, then find a representative from each team. The two then represent their teams. The team that guesses the most wins the game.

A musical game that immediately boosts the energy. We have two participants. On the screen, iPad or a picture we show a photo of a singer, singer or band and the participant must immediately sing a few lines from any song by the artist to get a point. If guessed, we show the next photo and so whoever guesses the most within a minute wins the game. If the person can’t name a song, they say “Next” and we show the next photo.
Similar to the dance battle boys vs. girls, but here the aim is for players to parody the opposite sex in various funny situations. Men imitate women and women imitate men.
Good situations that you can have a lot of fun with. It is also important that the right music is played for each round:

Please don’t forget the little ones! A wedding is a joyful event that unites two people, two families, two circles of friends. Today, newlyweds are increasingly asking the question: “Are wedding games necessary at all?” Of course, they are necessary, because properly selected and organized entertainment makes the celebration easy and relaxed. Wedding games for children require special attention.
You cover up an image from a Disney animated film. And part by part the picture is revealed. The children should then guess which film it is. The person who guesses first wins a point.
Children stand around the bride and groom. The bride and groom are blindfolded and rotated a few times on the spot. The bride and groom must try to catch one of the children. Whatever gender the captured baby is, the couple should expect to have their first child of that gender.
The children are asked simple questions about weddings. For each correct answer the participant receives one point. The winner is the one who collects the most points.
The player receives a bunch of different keys. His task is to quickly find the key to the lock in the chest where the prize is hidden.
The participant is blindfolded, given a pair of scissors, and placed near a rope to which small souvenirs, candy, or other mini-prizes are attached. The child can cut out any gift for himself.
The children are divided into two teams. Each team receives several deflated balloons into which pieces of paper with tasks have been inserted. You choose one representative from your team. Children inflate balloons. Whoever’s balloon bursts first announces the task to the opponents.

Together with your witnesses and other guests, we will spontaneously prepare a lip sync performance to your favorite song or band. This musical and dancing gift will provide you with an entertaining show during your wedding and allows participants to show off their personalities and their fun with music.
Some wedding games also require some preparation. In advance, we ask some guests to take a photo together with their better half and tell a story about how the marriage proposal was made. After the wedding begins, we will share these funniest and most romantic stories with the other guests. This means that all guests get some me-time because we adapt the celebration exactly to the audience. Plus, as newlyweds, you can choose the best story and reward the winners.
We form two or more teams and now an excerpt from a very well-known song (or even dance hit) is played. The task is to name the year of publication or age of the song. Whichever team is closer to the correct answer wins and the team that loses has to dance to that hit.

Another great musical game that no one knows about. You can play it in teams or just like that. The presenter plays a line from the middle of a well-known song and the players must sing the first two lines of the song. The interesting thing about the game is that we will play very well-known songs, but still it always takes a while (due to the excitement and the atmosphere) to get to the first lines.
In order to have a lot of fun at your wedding, so that everyone can relax, so that your guests do not have to worry about conducting various wedding games, we sincerely recommend that you choose the work of a wedding presenter.
