Most often, newlyweds dream of a wedding ceremony: surrounded by greenery and freshness. But the weather in Europe is fickle and to meet our couples’ needs, we have gathered several backup plans and valuable advice from experience. What to do if it starts to rain before the wedding? Let’s start by saying that it’s always worth having a plan B, C and D in advance. You can find out exactly what these plans can contain below. Important! At Fasol we advise against holding an outdoor wedding before June 1st and after September 15th. The probability of bad weather is very high.
If, according to the plan, only the ceremony should take place outside, and all other parts of the holiday indoors, then you can find a place in the banquet hall and move the entire action there. The beauty of such a wedding ceremony has a nuance, because it takes place in a hall where tables are already set.
You can also convert the “stage area” or “bride and groom area” for the ceremony. And then – put everything back in its place. The problem here is the impossibility of a sound check for a live band. But there are artists who are willing to perform without setting up the equipment and sound first. This must be discussed with the team in advance. However, if you do not want to hold the wedding ceremony in the hall, a terrace, a pavilion or a tent can also be used for this purpose.
It happens that the weather lets you down a little and you are sure that the sun will come out soon. In this case, you can move the welcome buffet indoors (if there is space for it), postpone the start of the ceremony slightly and wait. It happens that it is enough to wait for the rain for 15-20 minutes and you can hold the ceremony outdoors. In this case, you can trust your Wedding Host to make sure guests are having fun while they wait.
Alternatively, you can change the order of the program items. For example, you can first do a photo shoot with the guests or even personally hand over gifts. This will give you enough time for the rain to end. Don’t worry, your guests feel the same way as you and will understand everything well.
