Rule one: Wedding gifts or favours for guests must correspond to the concept of the celebration. Flower pots are unlikely to suit a glamorous wedding, and homemade cakes and jam will not suit an urban-style wedding. Discuss all the details of the celebration with the organiser: from the color scheme to the wedding location. Think about how you can incorporate gifts for guests into the room decor. And ask the decorator to set aside a separate area for them so that the gifts become a decoration of your celebration.
Rule two: consider the season and weather conditions. More and more couples are giving their wedding guests useful gifts and we fully support them. However, buying seasonal favors is only worth it once you have decided on your wedding date. Then the guests will definitely be happy about a warm scarf and a warming drink or flip-flops with sunscreen.
Rule three: Find out the guests’ preferences in advance. Interesting and original gifts cannot always pleasantly surprise guests. For example, grandparents are unlikely to play board games. If there are many guests, give preference to memorable souvenirs: a magnet, a frame, a thermo mug with a photo of the newlyweds. Or find something that unites all your guests to offer something that will please everyone without exception.
Rule four: Don’t go over budget. At first glance it may seem that gifts for guests do not require much effort. But cupcakes alone can cost as much as a whole cake. And designer gifts will cost even more. Once you’ve decided on the style and season of your wedding, consider how much you can spend on favors. Sometimes stylish luggage tags with guests’ names can save the day, and handmade boxes or tableware can significantly increase the wedding budget.
And rule five: put your soul into gifts. For wedding guests, your attention is the most important thing. And party favors are another reason to say “thank you” to your loved ones for spending this day with you. Therefore, be careful when choosing gifts for your guests, then no one will remain indifferent.
