How do I prepare for the wedding?

That feeling of unearthly bliss after a loved one proposes marriage quickly turns into a daunting question, “What do I do next?”. It is important to know where to start preparing for the wedding so that every moment of this magical day is filled with happiness and sensation. There is a lot of work ahead of you, but if you allow enough time, you will arrange without haste or wasted nerves a grandiose celebration where every detail is in place.

Unless you intend to entrust the most important day of your life to someone else such as a wedding planner or presenter, knowing the things mentioned below will make your wedding preparation a lot easier. With it you will pay attention to all the nuances and nothing will stand in the way of a good mood during your big day.

Preparations for your wedding should start early. Good if you have at least 6 months time. During this time, you can get acquainted with the recommendations of industry professionals, book your desired wedding location for organizing a banquet, choose an outfit and consider other details.

In order not to get confused in a number of organizational moments, we have compiled a short list for you. With this, the first steps will be more clearly visible and you will always have a clear plan in mind.

1. Wedding location

Much depends on the chosen day of the week. Browse the Internet for suitable offers, determine your favourites, go to the viewing and find out about available dates. If everything is exactly as you imagined, then book the wedding location quickly, because there is a good chance that you are not the only one interested.

2. Wedding invitations

Make a guest list. Experience says that 6-10% of the invited guests do not show up for the wedding for various reasons and force majeure. The number of guests and the format of the celebration depend on your financial possibilities. A small cozy wedding usually only features close relatives and friends, and a big celebration requires a large guest list.

3. Choice of service providers

The next step is to select and book the artist team: photographer, videographer, wedding presenter (aka “tamada” in some cultures) and others. In addition to professional qualities, also pay attention to personal ones. With some you spend all day from morning until late at night, so it is important that you feel comfortable with this person. Ideally, you get to know each other before the event, either in person or via video call (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime and Co.). You can find good examples of wedding moderation with moderator Duo FaSol or with Dima Sol from FaSol or with Vladimir Fadeev the Fa element of this duo 🤣 Okay, that’s enough now……. This is what they look like!

4. Selection of wedding dress

At the same time, there will also be pleasant tasks, such as choosing a wedding dress, suit and accessories. Sometimes the search for a wedding dress can take one to several months. Wedding planners and presenters advise against buying a dress at the initial stage of wedding preparation. Later there may be changes in the concept of the wedding. So it is advisable to sign up for a fitting and consider different options to buy the dress 2-3 months before the wedding.

And to finish…

Oh yes, don’t forget to register at the registry office (at the earliest – 6 months before the wedding). However, you can contact the moderator Duo FaSol at any time, because we will answer any questions you may have regarding your wedding and the free wedding ceremony.

Thank you and see you next time!

Yours, Dima Sol and Vladimir Fadeev
